The DI swimming team took part last week in the BRC Aquameet, 2017. This is an annual event organised by BRC and it was the second time DI was invited. The Aquameet is a four club event with teams from Dalhousie Institute, Tollygunge Club and Saturday Club along with the hosts Bengal Rowing Club competing.
Our team did very well and won a total of 8 Gold 5 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals. The team had a good mix of some of our senior swimmers and some who had started swimming just 3 months back! Little Ananya Agarwal and Zainab Rangwala both 8 years old were our youngest swimmers and did very well in their races.
The DI was represented by Shaunak Lakhotia,Prithwiraj Kapani, Shaon Ghosh, Kriti Malik, Ishani Basak, Rayd Firoze, Nate Shaw, Ananya Agarwal, Parikshit Doshi, Maanvi Agarwal, Liam Shaw, Harshieka Doshi, Dhruv Malik, Ali Asgar Lokhandwala, J S Rangwala,Subhan Jain, Zainab Rangwala, Aamir Khan, Tanvi Bhimani,Rhea Rao and Rohit Sanyal.
